Yellow fiberglass tape is a technical material used for the construction, insulation and reinforcement of coils for subwoofers and professional speakers. With its low thickness of 0.05mm and height of 50mm, it is ideal for applications where thin, strong insulation is needed.
On one side is a thin layer of adhesive, recognizable from the opaque side, which can be activated with MEK or compatible solvents for similar adhesives. This allows better adhesion between the material, the wrapping, and the forming paper.
The opposite side, smooth and glossy, on the other hand, facilitates removal of the reel from the aluminum former or other media used during processing.
