The GS Audio Platinum 4000 series evolves with the new MK3 version, which introduces structural upgrades aimed at improving performance and reliability in the high-power car audio context. Like the previous MK2 version, the MK3 adopts the carbon dust cover with concave profile, a technical solution that offers several advantages:
More efficient cooling of the voice coil due to better heat dissipation
Reduction of micro-vibrations typical of flat dust covers
Increased structural rigidity, with benefits in terms of precision and reliability
OPTIMIZED MAGNET AND COIL: Now the 220 mm ferrite ring in the magnet assembly is 5 mm higher. In combination with a longer coil, it enables an increase in useful Xmax and better extension at low frequencies.
GAP AND PLATE OPTIMIZATION: Through FEM simulations of the magnetic circuit, an increase in magnetic flux of about 10% was achieved. This results in increased motion control and improved mechanical merit factor.
IMPROVED MAGNETIC GROUP VENTILATION: The concave dust cover, together with the longer coil winding length, generates a more efficient pump effect, increasing the volume of air moved and improving overall cooling.
The GS Audio Platinum 4000 MK3 withstands up to 2000 W RMS (D1/D2 Ohm) and features an 81-mm pure copper coil on aluminum backing and red Nomex double-layer spider with stitched tinsel. Pressed cellulose cone, 30 mm round foam suspension and pneumatic rubber surround ensure optimum excursion and sealing, while push terminals accept wires up to 16 mm². New concave carbon dust cover increases rigidity and thermal dissipation, eliminating micro-vibrations of flat versions.

IMPEDANCE: Choice of dual 1-ohm and dual 2-ohm
RESONANCE FREQUENCY (Fs): 33-36 Hz, ideal for everyday listening (hip hop, trap, bassone). For faster music genres (techno, EDM, high BPM) we recommend reducing the box width by about 2 inches to increase the box tuning by 2-3 Hz.
To be paired with GS Audio amplifiers from 1500 to 3000 WRMS (such as GS-2300.1LED from the Crystal series and GS-3200.1VLT from the new Vultur series)
