The cells used are 2.3V and 40Ah each; connected in series and parallel they form a 320Ah battery pack with a nominal voltage of 13.8V, indicatively suitable for audio systems up to 27,200-33,600 WRMS
Actual value depends on factors such as alternator charging capacity, distance between batteries and amplifiers, cross section and quality of wiring, and overall system configuration.
WEIGHT: about 67 kg.
DIMENSIONS: 82 × 27 × H21 cm.
Why change from AGM batteries to LTO cells?
This series of 40Ah 13.8V LTOs in 6s configuration (6 cells in series) differs markedly from classic AGM/ GEL in performance and advantages:
Current discharge up to 10C (vs. 2C of conventional AGM/ GEL)
Current discharge up to 3C (vs. the average 0.5C of conventional AGM/ GEL)
Rated voltage 13.8V (2.3V per cell x 6) compared to 12.5V of traditional AGM / GEL. In car audio it results in amplifiers with warmer tone, faster low frequency response and lower voltage drop under load.
Weight reduced by 80-90% (example: a 10kW system powered by 4 x 120Ah AGM batteries (total capacity 480Ah, total weight about 140kg) can be replaced by 3 x 40Ah LTO packs (total capacity 120Ah and weight 25kg) due to higher specific discharge current and lower internal cell resistance.
More compact size: 30% smaller footprint than conventional batteries
Charging with original alternator: conventional alternators that charge between 14.4 and 14.5V (typically on vehicles up to 2020, not equipped with intelligent charge management) are generally compatible with LTO 6S systems.
Because of these characteristics, performance is superior to traditional AGM / Lead / GEL batteries.
CAUTION: We do not recommend use with standard 13.8V alternators, as the rated voltage of this battery pack is 13.8V. For maximum performance, we recommend:

LTO CHARACTERISTICS
Structure and characteristics of lithium titanate (LTO) batteries
Lithium titanate (LTO) batteries differ from classical lithium-ion batteries in the composition of the anode. In these cells, lithium titanate oxide (Li₂TiO₃) replaces graphite (carbon), typically used in conventional batteries. The cathode can be lithium manganese oxide (LMO) or lithium manganese cobalt oxide (NMC).
At the microscopic level, the LTO has a three-dimensional structure composed of lithium titanate nanocrystals. This configuration enables an operating voltage of 2.4 V, fast charging, and the ability to withstand discharge currents up to 10 times the rated capacity.
Benefits of LTO technology
One of the main strengths of lithium titanate batteries is the greater surface area available for electron passage. The anode has a surface area of about 100 m² per gram, compared with only 3 m² per gram in conventional 3.7 V lithium-ion batteries. This feature enables extremely fast recharging and a significantly longer service life. LTO batteries can be recharged in 6-10 minutes, compared with 8 hours required for standard rechargeable batteries, with a charging efficiency of more than 98%.
Safety and thermal stability
The lower operating voltage of 2.4 V offers significant advantages in terms of safety and environmental impact. The absence of carbon in LTO cells reduces the risk of thermal instability and overheating, eliminating a major cause of fires in conventional storage systems.
Independent tests conducted on LTO batteries show that, even in the event of a short circuit, the maximum temperature reached does not exceed 90-100 °C, without causing explosions or fires. This makes LTO batteries a much safer solution than LiPo (lithium-polymer) batteries.
